Thursday Afternoons Beginner to Intermediate
Thursday Afternoons 14:00-17:00 11th of September to 23rd of October
These classes are for beginners and intermediate pottery levels. The first session will be an introduction to key hand-building techniques and a step by step guided on how to apply them to your first piece. I encourage you to bring ideas of projects you would like to make in the second class since weeks 2-5 you’ll be working on a project of your choosing. I will be there to support and assist you with these projects. In week two you will also be given a demo on the potters wheel and will have the opportunity to have at least one session dedicated to working on the wheel if you wish to. Week 6 will be primarily focused on glazing (painting) your pieces. For a more structured class please see my Beginner Project based class.
Please note the potters wheel is taught at a beginner level; if you already have a foundational level of wheel throwing and are looking to advance please email me to discuss further before signing up.
The workshop is 3 hours long and held on a weekly basis.
Class includes clay and glazes.
Please note its an additional £5 per kilo for firing costs. This will cover both bisque and glaze firings.
Classes must have a minimum of 4 people signed up for it to be confirmed
Sessions will be held on Thursday 11th, 18th, 25th, of September and the 9th, 16th and 23rd October.
Please note there will be NO session on the 2nd of October
