£190.00

Monday Mornings 10:00-13:00 7th of September-12th October

This class is aimed at absolute beginners to advanced beginner level. We will focus on hand-building techniques though everyone will have an opportunity to go on the wheel if they wish.

The first session will be an introduction to the key hand-building techniques and a step by step guide on how to apply them to your first piece. I encourage you to come with ideas for objects you would like to make.

Week 2 everyone will begin working on the hand-building projects of their choice.

Week 3 there will be a demo on the potters wheel; those that wish to go on the wheel may do so and the remaining students will work on their hand-building projects.

Week 4 the remaining students who want to go on the wheel will have an opportunity to do so whilst the others work on their hand-building projects.

Week 5 those who went on the potters wheel will have an opportunity to trim their pieces. I encourage everyone to finish building your projects this week.

Week 6 finishing touches and colourful underglazes can be added to your projects.

The workshop is 3 hours long and held on a weekly basis.
